Quart Mohawk Classic Instrument Lacquer - Clear Gloss (Nitro)

Mohawk Classic Instrument Lacquer is a high quality nitrocellulose lacquer specifically designed for musical instruments - it is the same formula as Behlen Stringed Instrument Lacquer. (NB. The Behlen brand has been discontinued by the parent group RPM/Mohawk).

Formulated to produce a superior finish on thin, flexible veneers such as those used on stringed musical instruments.

Excellent flow, flexibility and durability. Superior rubbing qualities yield a mirror-like reflectance. Supplied ready to spray.

1 Quart (946 ml) gloss finish.

 Typical Application:

1. Surface should be properly sanded and clear of oil, dirt and dust.
2. Apply base coat of Clear Sealer.
3. Four to five topcoats are recommended.
4. May be applied at one hour intervals.
5. Allow to air dry 2-3 days, then wet sand.
6. Allow to air dry 48 to 72 hours prior to final rubbing and polishing.

 Special Note: (For an even better Result, when polishing out to a high sheen, the finish should cure for at least 21 days prior to any polishing operations.)

Protective clothing and equipment should always be used when working with any finishing products. The use of appropriate respirators, face-masks, eye protection, and full-body clothing is recommended, and always work in a well ventilated area.
